Rationale: Patients with postcovid syndrome (Longcovid) might present with symptoms such as fatigue, myalgia, myopenia and dynapenia, among others. The possible alterations of the cell membrane might be related to these alterations in the medium and long term.

Methods: Body composition was analyzed in Longcovid patients attended at the Longcovid Unit of the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Badalona (Barcelona, Spain), between September 2020 and September 2021, using InBodyÒS10 segmental multifrequency Bioimpedance (BIA).

Results: 222 patients were studied: 165 women (74.3%) with a mean age of 46.6 years (11.7).

Table 1 shows the demographic and BIA data of the first BIA performed (3-6 months after SARS-CoV-2 infection) and the last performed at 18 months.

Conclusion: - In women, skeletal mass, body cell mass increased, but total and segmental phase angle, resistance and reactance decreased, whereas in men, these parameters increased.

- It is necessary to assess the evolution of segmental bioelectrical parameters of bioimpedance to assess their possible impact on the long-term persistence of symptoms.
