Access to the Platform


How can I access the World Glaucoma E-Congress?

All registered participants who have paid their registration fee in full have received an email on June 28, 2021. This email is sent from WGC-2021 (noreply@nexisit.net) with the subject line: Your log in details to WGC-2021.

If you did not register yet, you can still register here. After processing your online registration, you automatically receive a confirmation email and your login instructions will be sent by separate email shortly afterwards (within 30minutes). 

You can access the e-congress log-in page as of June 28. Please note that access to the platform will only be provided once full payment of our registration fee has been received. 

 

When can I access the platform?

The platform will be open from June 28, 2021. As of this day, you can set up your profile and select the topics you are the most interested in. Based on the information provided, content will be recommended to you on the platform.

 

When will the content be available to view? 

You can already explore the platform as of June 28, 2021.

On Tuesday, June 29, you can attend the WGA General Assembly which is scheduled from 3:00-4:00 pm CEST (check this link for your local time).

On Wednesday, June 30 at 1:00 pm CEST, the WGC-2021 will officially kick-off with the Opening Ceremony, followed by the Presidential Symposium.

 

I did not receive my login details, what do I do?

The personalized login details were sent by email on June 28, 2021 to all registered and paid participants. If you did not receive the email with your login information, there are a few possible reasons: 

    • Check your spam folder: It is possible that the email with your personalized login details was received in your spam folder. Kindly check the folder for our emails from noreply@nexisit.net with the subject line: Your log in details to WGC-2021.

    • Check your payment status: The login details were only sent to participants who paid their registration fee in full. If you have not yet processed your payment or you have any questions regarding your payment status, please contact the Congress Secretariat via email: wgc-registration@mci-group.com 

    • Check with the person who processed your registration: In case you did not process the registration yourself, please check with the person who registered you (for example a group leader or an assistant). The login details were sent to the email address provided during the registration, so please make sure to check the email account which is linked to your registration.  

If you still could not locate your login details, you can reach the Congress Secretariat via email or via the chatbox on the bottom-right of the e-congress log-in page

 

My login details are not working, what do I do?

You can access the platform via the e-congress log-in page: Here you need to login with your email address and password as stated in the email.

Please note that the email address must be the same email address as linked to your registration.

Please copy-paste the password exactly as it is stated in the email, the password is case-sensitive and must be entered without spaces before or after the code.

If you still have difficulties logging in, please contact the Congress Secretariat via the chatbox on the bottom-right of the e-congress log-in page.

 

How long will I have access to the World Glaucoma E-Congress platform?

Following the congress, all content including the recordings of the live sessions will be available on the congress platform to watch on-demand until December 30, 2021 (23:59 CEST). 

Scientific Program


What can I expect from the World Glaucoma E-Congress?

The World Glaucoma E-Congress is an innovative learning experience hosted entirely online. The live program is filled with presentations from worldwide experts in their field. You can interact with speakers and moderators by typing your questions in the chat and/or using emojis.
In addition to the live program, you also have access to 500+ E-posters, Member Societies Spotlight videos, Photo Exhibition, Film Festival, Partners pages and Company showcases available at all times.

 

Where can I find the full program?

The full program is available on the platform, click on "Program" in the menu bar to open the program. For your convenience, the program can be displayed per congress day and all sessions time are listed in your own time zone (based on your computer settings). 

 

In what timezone are the sessions being held? 

All session times on this platform are listed in your own time zone (based on your computer settings).

 

How can I create a personal program?

Click on "Program" in the menu bar to open the full program. Click on the blue "Attend" button next to any session you are interested in and it will then be listed under the "My Schedule" tab.
You can also click on "Add to Calendar" to add the sessions to your personal calendar and set push notifications to be reminded before the sessions start. 

 

Are the live sessions recorded?

All live sessions are recorded, and will be available as of July 4, 2021 for on-demand viewing. 

 

How long will I have access to the World Glaucoma E-Congress platform?

Following the congress, all content including the recordings of the live sessions will be available on the congress platform to watch on-demand until December 30, 2021 (23:59 CEST).

How many times can I view the session recordings?

You can return to the platform and view the recordings at any time and as many times as you wish until December 30, 2021 (23:59 CEST).

 

Are all abstracts available on the platform and where can I find them?

Yes, all abstracts, oral presentations and poster presentations, are available on the platform. To find them, click on "More" in the top menu and then select "Abstract Book". 

I am a speaker/chair attending the live Q&A, how can I connect to my session?

As speaker/chair you will receive an automatic email reminder to join your session, 1 hour before the session starts. This email will contain a direct link to join the “backstage” of your session where you will meet our staff and fellow panelists. Please join via this link at least 30 minutes in advance. You can also simply log in the platform and go to “Program”, click on your session’s title and you will be let in as a speaker/chair of this session.

 

I have an E-poster presentation, should I be online at a specific time to present?

No, you do not need to be online at a specific time to present your E-Poster. Your recorded E-Poster presentation can be viewed at all times under the E-Poster section of the congress platform! 

CME Accreditation

 

Can I earn CME credits by attending the World Glaucoma E-Congress?

Yes, the World Glaucoma E-Congress is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 26 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). The EACCME® awards ECMEC®s on the basis of 1 ECMEC® for one hour of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC®s per live day (30 June – 3 July). Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event. Please make sure to watch each session until the end to earn 1 CME for that session.
Your CME certificate will be available for download via the “My CME” section that will be activated under “My profile” as of July 5, 2021. 

 

Can I earn CME credits if I watch the session recordings after the live days? 

Yes, after the live days, you will still be able to earn CME for content watched on-demand until September 30, 2021.
As of one week before this deadline, you will be able to download a new certificate for these additional CME credits you earned. Kindly note that it will not be possible to claim more CMEs after September 30, 2021.

 

How/when do I receive a CME certificate?

For all CME credits collected during the live program, your CME certificate will be available for download via the “My CME” section that will be activated under “My profile” as of July 5, 2021.
Please note that this certificate will not be updated if you watch further sessions on-demand after the live program, however, a new certificate will be available for download for any sessions viewed on-demand. This certificate will be available as of September 30, 2021.

Is there a way to connect with Industry during the congress?
 

Yes, please visit the “Partners” section on the World Glaucoma E-Congress platform to find out more about the industry partners and sponsors who are supporting this event. You can schedule a one-on-one meeting, or spontaneously start a chat conversation.

 

How can I find a specific company? 

You can find all partners and sponsors listed on the "Partners" section on the platform. Simply click on the logo of the company you are interested in to find out more about them. 

 

How can I interact with sponsors? 

Each sponsor has a profile page. Here there are several ways to communicate with the sponsor, you can book an appointment or have a live video chat. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with them!

 

Will my data be shared with these partners and sponsors? 

Your data will only be shared if you actively click on any sponsored content. Sponsored content can be recognized by a sponsor name or logo. Please note everything on the platform is “clickable”, therefore, if you click on content or a logo your data will be shared with that specific sponsor or partner.

Networking


How can I connect with fellow participants?

The platform offers a direct message system to allow you to connect with congress participants. The feature is available on the main page of the platform. Simply click on the message icon on the right-hand side of the menu. Via the chat you can have a live interaction with everyone who is currently on the platform. Reach out to your peers and have a conversation!  

 

How can I engage during live sessions?

A chat feature is available in all live sessions for all delegates to interact. You can also use emojis to express yourself.

 

How can I ask questions to speakers and moderators?

Use the Q&A section during the live sessions to ask your questions to the speakers and moderators. You can also give them feedback by simply using emojis.

What device can I use to access the World Glaucoma E-Congress?

This platform is accessible via any device that can connect to the Internet via an Internet browser; this could be your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. The experience is fully responsive to any device. If you login with the same account from a different device, you pick up from where you left off. You can log in from different devices on your congress account. However, note that you can only watch sessions on one device at a time. For the best experience, we do recommend you join the congress via desktop or laptop.

 
How do I watch presentations on my mobile device? 

This platform is mobile-responsive and is automatically formatted to play on most mobile devices. Simply log in on your mobile device. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every mobile device as operating system requirements frequently vary. 

 
Do I have to be online to access the platform? 

Yes. The World Glaucoma E-Congress platform requires that you are online and logged in to view the content. Also note that you can only watch sessions on one device at a time

 
Are there any technical requirements to access World Glaucoma E-Congress? 

This platform is designed to be easily accessible for all delegates. To access the platform, you simply need a device with audio (desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone) and a stable Internet connection.
In order to have the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome, but other browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Safari can also be used. However, we do not recommend Internet Explorer as some functions, such as the chat, are not fully supported.
